(Sunman, Ind.) - A crash shutdown a portion of Interstate 74 this morning.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles reported that I-74 eastbound near the 162 mile marker in Dearborn County had to be shut down around 6:10 a.m. due to a semi crash that blocked both lanes. This caused traffic to be diverted onto State Road 101 at the Sunman exit.

Additional crashes were reported in the westbound lanes.

As of 6:30, the eastbound lanes reopened, however multiple crashes have been reported between the 160-164 mile markers.

According to Wheeles, bridges have become slick and hazardous.
