Single Vehicle Accident Claims Hebron Man's Life

Speed and alcohol appear to be initial factors in the crash.

(Hebron, Ky.) - A Hebron man has been identified as the victim of a fatal single vehicle accident. 

Boone County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the exit ramp from westbound Interstate 275 to northbound North Bend Road on Saturday around 9:15 PM. 

According to a news release, Ronald Ross was traveling in a 2011 Chevy Silverado and failed to negotiate the right hand curve and exited the roadway. The vehicle continued off the road in an embankment for approximately 428 feet befoer striking a concrete sign post base. 

Ross was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to UC Medical Center, where he died from injuries sustained. 

Speed and alcohol appear to be initial factors in the crash, and the operator was not wearing a seat belt.
