Severe Weather Possible Wednesday, Wind Advisory in Effect

UPDATE: A Tornado Watch has been issued for all counties listed below (except for Gallatin, Kenton) under the hazardous weather outlook. The watch is in effect until 5:00 p.m.

(Wilmington, Oh.) – Severe weather is possible on Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service’s hazardous weather outlook, storms and showers are expected to pass through the tri-state area with the greatest threat expected between 2:00 and 10:00 p.m.

The primary severe weather threat will be damaging winds. A Wind Advisory is in effect until 8:00 p.m. for portions of southeast Indiana, northern Kentucky and southwest Ohio.

Wind gusts of up to 45 MPH are possible.

Isolated large hail and isolated tornadoes will also be possible, according to the NWS.

Counties listed under the hazardous weather outlook include:

  • Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland in Indiana
  • Boone, Carroll, Gallatin, Kenton in Kentucky
  • Hamilton County, Ohio
