SDHS Ranked Top Graduating School In SEI

All 11 schools in SEI had rates above the national average.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) has released the state graduation rate for 2019.

In 2019, Indiana’s graduation rate was 87.29 percent, and the non-waiver rate was 76.73 percent.

These rates were both lower from the previous 2018 year. 

In 2018, Indiana’s graduation rate was 88.1 percent with a non-waiver graduation rate of 80.78 percent.

“Every day, school administrators and classroom teachers across our state dedicate themselves to academically preparing our students for success,” said State Superintendent Dr. Jennifer McCormick. “There is still work to be done, and the Department will continue to commit its resources to local districts, working together to ensure our children graduate prepared for life beyond high school.”

South Dearborn High School had the highest graduation rate of 97.14% out of the 11 surrounding local SEI schools.

  3. Rising Sun High School -- 96.43%
  4. Greensburg Community High School -- 96.18%
  5. Jennings County High School -- 95.88%
  6. Switzerland County Senior High School -- 94.57%
  7. Lawrenceburg High School -- 93.75%
  8. Batesville High School -- 91.71%
  9. Jac-Cen-Del High School -- 91.18%
  10. Milan High School -- 90.35%
  11. South Ripley High School -- 89.77%
