Scammers Seek "Harrison Fire" Donations

Don't be fooled by these calls.

(Harrison, Oh.) - The City of Harrison is alerting community members to be aware of a phone scam.

The scammers are seeking donations "on behalf of the Harrison Fire Department" but do not have any affiliation to the fire department or the City in any way.

If you receive such a call, hang up and do not share personal or payment information, and consider reporting the number as spam to your carrier.

If you wish to verify any City communication, use the non-emergency phone number published on our website, not a number provided by a caller.

Residents who believe they’ve shared sensitive information, or funds should file a report with local law enforcement. Any official City or department fundraising will always be announced through City channels.
