Local Salvation Army Looking For Volunteers

The Kettle Drive will begin on Friday, November 29, and will run through Monday, December 23.

(Dearborn Co., Ind.) - With the holiday season quickly approaching, the familiar sound of the Salvation Army bell ringing around our community starts to be heard.

Donating to the iconic red bucket is not the only way to help! You can volunteer to take an active role by ringing the bell.

Our local Salvation Army Kettle Drive leaders are looking for Bell Ringers for the 2019 Dearborn and Ohio County Salvation Army Kettle Drive.

In 2018, the Kettle Drive raised enough money to serve 301 households, which helped benefit 746 people during this past year.

Money raised during the 2019 Kettle Drive will be used in 2020 to assist Dearborn and Ohio County residents in need.

These funds will be used for Emergency Assistance, League of Mercy (Nursing home resident gifts), Hidden Falls Summer Camp registration and disaster services.

The Kettle Drive will begin on Friday, November 29, and will run through Monday, December 23.

Ringing locations will include the Aurora Walmart and Lawrenceburg Kroger.

Join the cause by reaching out to Sue Manford at (812) 744-3914 or (812) 907-0977.

For more information about Dearborn and Ohio Counties Salvation Army, you can contact the local Extension Office, SIEOC, at (812) 926-1585.
