Ripley County Issues Burn Ban

Most of Indiana's southern counties are under a burn ban amid dry conditions.

(Ripley County, Ind.) – Ripley County has issued a burn ban, joining surrounding counties of Dearborn, Ohio, Franklin, and Switzerland counties.

Open fires are prohibited due to ongoing drought conditions increasing fire hazards throughout the county.

Only enclosed fires, grilling, and campfires in a designated fire ring or pit are permitted.

Residents are urged to use caution and refrain from leaving fire sources unattended.
