Retired Franklin County Sheriff's K-9 Passes Away

(Franklin County, Ind.) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is mourning the loss of a retired K-9.

K-9 Lito has passed at the age of 14.

Lito served citizens of Franklin County from 2010-2017. During his years of service, Lito was responsible for aiding in numerous drug related arrests, suspect apprehensions, and missing person searches.

Additionally, Lito appeared at numerous public events.

Lito started his K-9 work with Deputy John Roberts. He was living with his most recent handler Sgt. Adam Henson.
