Retired Colonel Has Ballistic Helmet Stolen At Swiss Wine Festival

The Colonel is offering a reward for the return of his helmet.

(Vevay, Ind.) – A retired Colonel is offering a reward for the return of his helmet.

Colonel August Duael’s ballistic helmet was taken from a display at the American Legion booth during last week's Swiss Wine Festival in Vevay. The theft is believed to have taken place on Thursday, August 26. 

“Mr. Duael fought for our country and deserves better than he has been treated,” reads a Facebook post from the Vevay Police Department.

Anyone with information about the helmet should contact the Vevay Police Department at 812-427-3737.
