(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Hunters may purchase a reservation for put and take pheasant hunts starting this Saturday, September 5, at 6:00 a.m.

Put and take hunts at fish & wildlife areas (FWAs) will no longer be available on a first-come, first serve basis. Hunters will now need to make reservations online at on.IN.gov/reservedhunt. To reserve a spot, click “Apply for a reserved hunt.”

It is not required to log in to an online account to reserve a spot, as long as a hunter has a valid hunting license. Hunters will be able to access reserved hunts using their Customer ID number and date of birth.

There is a non-refundable $30 cost per reservation; however, they are transferable to another person.

Once the reservation is completed, registrants will be emailed all the hunt information, including their hunt registration ID, date reserved, and property name. Hunters should keep this information for their records.

All hunters must have a current Indiana Hunting License and Gamebird Habitat Stamp to participate in this hunt.

Hunters must bring their hunt registration paperwork and a valid hunting license and check in between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30, 3:30 p.m. Hunting starts at 9:00 a.m.

To learn more about reserved hunts visit on.IN.gov/reservedhunt.
