RCCF Awards 2nd Cycle Of Small Grants

(Ripley County, Ind.) - The Ripley County Community Foundation awarded $2,500 in grants from the 2nd Cycle of Small Grants for 2021. The committee met to review six applicants, five of which received grants.

Kappa Kappa Kappa received $500.00 to help fund a series of presentations given at local schools by author and illustrator Kevin Lovegreen. Another $500.00 went to Ripley County Communications to purchase additional headsets for the county. $500.00 went to Ripley County EMS to buy ice rescue equipment for the winter. St. Nicholas Catholic School received $500.00 to buy a “Good News” bulletin board to place in the hallway. The final $500.00 went to Twice Blessed to remodel their store and eventually host a grand reopening to celebrate their 15th anniversary.

“Being on the committee was a wonderful opportunity,” stated Ripley County Community Foundation intern Grace Vanderbur. “I get to be a part of something that impacts not only the community, but future generations as well.”
