(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A probation home visit resulted in the arrest of an accused methamphetamine dealer and a woman in Lawrenceburg.

Lawrenceburg Police and Dearborn County probation officers conducted a home visit at Rachel Houston’s residence on Highview Drive on May 16. They observed syringes in the home, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Billy Jo Grimsley was inside the home during the search. He was allegedly caught in possession of methamphetamine, Oxycodone pills, and marijuana.

Investigators confiscated Grimsley’s cell phone and obtained a search warrant for it. A forensic review of Grimsley’s cell phone found he had been conducting multiple drug transactions, police say.

Grimsley, 58, was arrested immediately after the search. He was formally charged June 14 with Dealing or Manufacturing Methamphetamine (level 5 felony), Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Oxycodone) (level 5 felony), Dealing in Marijuana (class A misdemeanor), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony), Possession of a Syringe (level 6 felony), and Possession of Paraphernalia (class C misdemeanor).

Houston, 36, was arrested for violating her probation. She faces new charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (level 6 felony), Possession of a Syringe (level 6 felony), and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony).

Both suspects remain held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center as of Friday, June 28.
