(Jennings County, Ind.) – A Versailles man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Jennings County.

Andrew Golden, 38, along with Josie Robbins, 31, of North Vernon, were arrested on Monday during a traffic stop on Park Avenue near South State Street.

The stop was initiated due to a driver’s license suspension.

During the stop, Golden exited the vehicle and attempted to swallow a plastic bag. According to the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, Golden would not comply with commands from deputies and a taser was deployed to prevent Golden from swallowing suspected narcotics.

Deputies say Robbins also exited the vehicle and attempted to conceal more narcotics.

Investigators say Golden had a Class A felony warrant through Jennings County Circuit Court for probation revocation on manufacturing methamphetamine.

Golden was transported to an area hospital for medical clearance prior to being taken to Jennings County Jail.

Golden is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine over 5 Grams (Level 5 Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor), Possession of Syringes (Level 6 Felony), Obstruction of Justice (Level 6 Felony), and Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A Misdemeanor).

Robbins is facing Possession of Methamphetamine over 5 Grams (Level 5 Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor), Possession of Syringes (Level 6 Felony).
