Polar Plunge to Benefit Special Olympics Indiana Happens Feb. 18

The annual event will be held at Versailles State Park.

(Versailles, Ind.) – Be bold and get cold this February to benefit Special Olympics Indiana.

The annual ‘Freezing for a Reason’ Polar Plunge will take place on Saturday, February 18 at Versailles State Park.

On-site registration will take place from noon to 1:30 at the Versailles State Park boat ramp. The plunge will begin at 2:00.

Participants must raise a “bear” minimum of $85 for Special Olympics Indiana before jumping into the frigid water at Versailles State Park Lake.

Plungers must be at least 12 years old on the day of the event to enter the water. Those under the age of 18 must have a signature from a parent or guardian.

All funds raised will directly benefit local Special Olympic athletes, giving them the means to train and compete at events.
