Plane May Have Had No Fuel When It Crashed

(Rabbit Hash, Ky.) – A pilot seriously injured when his plane crashed in Boone County on Tuesday remains hospitalized.

 

Police have identified the pilot as Naseem Malik, 55, of Orchard Park, New York remains in critical condition University of Cincinnati Hospital.

 

Malik’s Cessna 210 crashed just a couple miles east of Rabbit Hash just before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday. He was pulled from the wreckage by a resident who had witnessed the crash.

 

There is speculation that the aircraft might have run out of fuel before going down. The FAA arrived Wednesday to begin investigating.

 

The plane had been purchased earlier Tuesday in Waco, Texas by Orchard Park-based Emerald Air Holdings.
