Pharmacy Robbery Will Be Prosecuted Federally

(Ripley County, Ind.) - A woman accused of robbing a pharmacy in Sunman will be charged federally.

Rosa Zinser is in the Ripley County Jail accused of using a handgun to stick up George’s Pharmacy in Sunman back on May 2. The 58-year-old initially got away with prescriptions, but was arrested within hours that same day at her home in Dearborn County.

Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel tells The Versailles Republican newspaper that Zinser will now be charged by the U.S. Attorney for Southern Indiana.

Zinser was initially charged in Ripley County with Possession of a Narcotic Drug (level 6 felony) and Pointing a Firearm (level 6 felony). On Tuesday, prosecutors moved to dismiss the local charges in lieu of the federal case.
