INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Senate is now accepting applications for the 2022 Senate Page Program.
State Senator Chip Perfect (R-Lawrenceburg) announced Friday that the Senate Page Program will begin in January and run through early March.
The full-day program allows students in grades six through 12 to tour the Indiana Statehouse, listen to debates and help staff with age-appropriate task, in addition to meeting with their state senator.
“The Senate Page Program gives students the opportunity to get a front-row seat to the legislative process," Perfect said. "I highly encourage young Hoosiers to consider applying for this unique opportunity."
Positions fill up quickly, so it is important to apply early.
Pages are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. They begin their day at 8:30 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Serving as a page is considered an excused absence from school.
