(Greendale, Ind.) - An Osgood man was arrested on multiple charges following a police pursuit in Greendale.

On Saturday, September 23, the Dearborn County Sheriff's Officer reported around 6:31 p.m. that they were searching for a male suspect that fled on foot in the area of Nowlin Avenue and Diehl Drive.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Greendale Police responded to the Maxwell Construction parking lot at the corner of Nowlin Avenue and Probasco Street, where a silver Infiniti G35 was observed doing donuts. A blue Toyota Corolla was also observed at the scene.

Officers say Trayvin Rutherford, 19, of Osgood, was operating the silver vehicle while a second subject was filming him with his cell phone. Rutherford denied operating the vehicle and advised the car, which was registered in his name, was broken. When asked about the blue Corolla, Rutherford told police it belonged to his aunt, but the car was reportedly stolen from an Enterprise Rentals in Ripley County.

At that time, Rutherford fled from the scene. To help locate Rutherford, officers and K9's from Lawrenceburg, and the Dearborn County Sheriff's Office responded to set up a perimeter. Rutherford was observed in a dark colored vehicle traveling on Bellview Drive around 8:20 p.m. When officers attempted a traffic stop, he jumped out of the back window and continued fleeing on foot.

He was later taken into custody at the Greendale McDonald's without further incident.

After a search of Rutherford's vehicle, officers allegedly located a clear baggie containing marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

Rutherford is charged with Possession of Marijuana (Class B Misdemeanor), Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C Misdemeanor), two counts of Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A Misdemeanor), and Theft Value $750-$50,000 (Level 6 Felony).

He had his initial appearance in court this week, and is being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on $25,000 surety bond and $5,000 cash bond.
