(Boone County, Ky.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of several rolling roadblocks that will take place on Interstate 71/75 in Boone County on Thursday, June 12.
Traffic will be temporarily slowed down and, at times, stopped to allow crews space to repair potholes on the interstate.
Beginning at 11:45 p.m., crews will be repairing potholes on I-71/75 northbound from the Richwood exit (175.5 mile point) to the U.S. 42 exit (180 mile point), a distance of 4.5 miles.
This work will require rolling roadblocks beginning south of the Richwood exit. Additionally, the on-ramps at the Richwood Road (KY 338) and Mt. Zion Road (KY 536) exits will be temporarily blocked during the 15-minute rolling roadblock.
Crews anticipate needing several rolling roadblocks throughout the overnight hours to repair potholes in this area.
Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route during working hours. Plan ahead and leave early to avoid potential traffic delays.
Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed Friday, June 13 at 5:00 a.m.
