UPDATE: Boone Co. Coroner ID's Construction Worker Killed At CVG

A construction worker was killed on Saturday while working at the Amazon construction site at CVG.

The construction worker who was killed in a weekend accident at CVG has been identified.

The Boone County Coroner says Loren Shoemake died Saturday as a result of blunt force trauma while working at the Amazon construction site on CVG property.

Shoemake was 46.

(Hebron, Ky.) - One person is dead after a workplace injury in Boone County. 

A construction worker was reportedly killed Saturday at the Amazon construction site on CVG property. The incident was reported around 12:44 p.m.

The victim's name and cause of death has not been released at this time. 

CVG officials released the following statement on Saturday:

"Earlier today, CVG public safety teams responded to a workplace injury call at the Amazon construction site. The Boone County coroner has confirmed the injury resulted in a fatality. CVG and our airport community are deeply saddened; we offer our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers impacted. We are grateful for the first responders who assisted on scene and appreciate the work of those who continue to review this tragic accident."
