The sales tax holiday helps families afford shopping for school supplies.
(Columbus, Oh.) -- Ohio retailers are participating again in the state's sales tax holiday.
Beginning Friday morning, August 2 and lasting until midnight on Sunday, August 4, shoppers will not be charged sales tax on clothing items less than $75 or on school supplies under $20.
The discount applies to purchases made in-store and online.
Before 2018 the Ohio sales tax holiday had been a temporary measure subject to renewal. The state legislature unanimously approved a bill last year making the tax free weekend perpetual.
