Ohio Sales Tax Holiday Starts Friday

Clothes and schools supplies can be purchased without sales tax under certain requirements.

(Columbus, Oh.) – Ohio’s sales tax holiday comes this weekend.

The statewide holiday was passed in 2019 allowing shoppers to purchase clothing items less than $75 or schools supplies under $20 without being charged sales tax.

The sales tax holiday begins Friday, August 6 and will run through Sunday, August 8.

Discounts apply to purchases made in-store and online.
