(Dearborn County, Ind.) - An Ohio man was busted for meth after a routine traffic stop last week in Dearborn County.

Dustin M. Heid, 34, of Addyston, Ohio, was traveling on U.S. 50 near Sycamore Estates Drive on March 31 when he was pulled over by Aurora Police for driving with a suspended license.

During the stop, Heid denied police consent to search his truck. However, dispatch advised that Lawrenceburg Police K9 Siri was available to perform a free air sniff of the vehicle.

Once on the scene, K9 Siri indicated the presence of a narcotic drug inside the vehicle, prompting a legal search of the vehicle.

During the search, police say they uncovered two handguns, six syringes, cotton swabs, and a clear crystal substance, identified as methamphetamine.

Heid was placed into custody and charged with two counts of Carrying a Handgun Without a License (Level 5 felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (Level 6 felony), Possession of a Syringe (Level 6 felony), Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C misdemeanor), and two counts of misdemeanor Carrying a Handgun Without a License.

He is currently being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center. His bond is under advisement.

Heid is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing in Dearborn County Court on May 7 at 2:30
