(Columbus, Oh.) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced important dates for the state’s OCVID-19 vaccination rollout.

At a news briefing today from the site of a mass vaccination site at Cleveland State University, the governor said more Ohioans will be eligible for the vaccine on Friday, March 19.

Among the individuals that will be added to the list are:

  • Ohioans ages 40 and up.
  • Ohioans with cancer, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart disease, and obesity.

“It’s a moral imperative that we move as quickly as we can to vaccine all Ohioans who wish to be vaccinated,” said DeWine. “We expect a significant increase in vaccines coming to Ohio soon, so we will expand vaccine eligibility.”

The vaccination is expected to open to all Ohioans ages 16 and up on March 29.
