NWS Issues Flood Advisory Until 11 AM

Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible.

(Tri-State) - The National Weather Service Wilmington, Ohio has issued a flood advisory until 11 AM on April 4. 

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected for Dearborn, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Franklin, and Union counties. Flooding is expected in Boone County in Northern Kentucky as well as Hamilton County in Ohio.  

At 508 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible.

As a precautionary measure turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
