(Florence, Ky.) - A Florence man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a shooting on Weaver Road.
Demico Mitchell, 22, is facing two counts of Attempted Murder and two counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence (both felonies).
Florence Police responded to a report of shots fired at an occupied vehicle on February 28.
Upon arrival to the intersection of Weaver Road and Mission Lane, officers located two victims that reported that an unknown person had fired a handgun at them and fled the scene in a white SUV.
There were no reported injuries to the occupants of the vehicle.
On March 6, detectives identified a suspect and executed a search warrant on his residence and the vehicle used during the shooting.
A handgun that is believed to have been used during the shooting was allegedly located in the suspect's vehicle.
