NKY Man Accused Of Child Rape Captured After Months Living In The Woods

(Erlanger, Ky.) – A northern Kentucky man has been captured after nearly two months of hiding in a wooded area.

Billy Holt, 38, was taken into custody by Erlanger Police on Sunday at a home on Woodale Court in Independence.

Upon arriving at the home, police say Holt barricaded himself in a laundry room but surrendered peacefully after about 30 minutes of negotiation.

Holt is a suspect wanted for child rape and sodomy.

He had eluded police for approximately two months by living in the woods near his family’s property.

Holt is being held in the Kenton County Detention Center on $50,000 cash bond.
