Mobile Home Damaged By Fire

(East Enterprise, Ind.) – A mobile home went up in flames in Switzerland County Tuesday evening.

The East Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department was called to the residence on the 14000 block of Bethel Ridge Road at about 8:16.

The renter who lived in the trailer was not home at the time of the fire, Chief Jeff Darling said. There were no injuries.

About 50 percent of the mobile home was destroyed by the blaze, said Darling, adding a cause remains under investigation.

East Enterprise firefighters were on scene until about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. They were assisted by Switzerland County EMS and the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Department.
