Missing 9-Year-Old Found Dead

The extensive search went on for two days.

(Florence, Ky.) - The search for Jenny Din ended in tragedy on Saturday evening. 

After a lengthy search, the 9-year-old was found dead in a pond near her home, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office. 

Din had been missing from her Macintosh Lane home since Friday around 5:30 p.m.

The ground area covered was approximately four square miles. Approximately seven or eight miles were covered by air through drones and Kentucky State Police's helicopter, in addition to more ground miles tracked by law enforcement K-9.
