The project is set to begin on Friday, May 15.
(Ripley/Dearborn County, Ind.) — Milling operations are set to begin this Friday in Ripley and Dearborn Counties.
Indiana Department of Transportation contractor John R. Jurgensen Company plans to begin work on I-74 eastbound between State Road 101 and State Road 1.
This work is part of a $20.3 million asphalt resurface contract. INDOT crews finished patching work earlier this week and will start paving on Monday, May 18.
Lane closures and a 55 mph speed restriction will be in place while work in underway.
The entire contract will include resurfacing of I-74 between State Road 101 and Ohio state line.
Motorists should watch for lane closures along I-74 through mid-October.
