INDIANAPOLIS - Milan High School student Shelby Williams celebrated a big moment on Saturday night.
She was named 2025-26 National Secretary of The Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) program at the National Career Development Conference in Indianapolis.
What this means is Williams will represent and be a voice for thousands of students across the country involved in JAG.
Her primary responsibility is to serve JAG in various capacities, including local, state and national activities, aiming to inspire and motivate JAG members, specialists and staff.
"I was overwhelmed with so much emotion. All of it good. So good that I cried. It's such and honor and privileged that I have right now," said Williams.
The Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program is a state-based, national non-profit organization dedicated to helping high school students of promise who have experienced challenging or traumatic life experiences achieve success through graduation.
