INDIANAPOLIS - State Sen. Randy Maxwell (R-Guilford) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes on January 5. By state law, the 2026 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"During the interim I spent a lot of time listening to constituents and researching ways to address their concerns," Maxwell said. "I look forward to working with fellow lawmakers in the upcoming session to pass meaningful legislation that will benefit both Senate District 43 and Indiana."

As the 2026 session gets underway, Maxwell encourages residents of Senate District 43 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Maxwell can be reached by filling out a "Contact Me" form online at www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Maxwell or by phone at 800-382-9467.
