(Aurora, Ind.) – Saturday, May 1 was a fun day in downtown Aurora.

Main Street Aurora hosted an anniversary celebration for Second Time Around, Krypto’s Comix, and Plug’s Sweet Tooth, and a ribbon cutting for Uncle Steel’s Brews.

The event brought out community members for live music, costumed characters, grill out, popcorn, cookies, and gifts.

“On behalf of Main Street Aurora and the City of Aurora we are thrilled you chose Aurora for your businesses. I know you are as proud as we are to have your sons (and daughter in law) involved in our businesses” said Nancy Fahey Turner, Director of Main Street Aurora.

“As the country continues to comeback from the pandemic of 2020 Second Time Around & Plug’s Sweet Tooth were both able to expand their businesses with the upstairs 1000sq. ft. expansion of Krypto’s Comix and the addition of Uncle Steel’s Brews” continued Turner.

Uncle Steel’s Brews is family-owned and operated, offering brewed coffee and specialty coffees – a welcome addition to downtown Aurora. They also serve fresh baked pastries, in addition to additional breakfast and lunch options.

Main Street Aurora encourages the community to shop downtown Aurora and support local retail, specialty, and restaurants.
