Madison Man Arrested After Firing Gun in Walmart Parking Lot

The incident took place on Monday night.

(Madison, Ind.) – A Madison man is in custody after allegedly firing a gun in the parking lot of the Madison Wal-Mart.

Madison Police responded to the incident on Monday around 6:53 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers recovered spent shell casings and the firearm used. They also located a suspect, identified as Dalton Rowlett, 25.

Based on surveillance footage and witness statements, it is believed that Rowlett fired the weapon into the air.

Rowlett has been initially charged with Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon (Level 5 Felony).
