(Washington, D.C.) – Four southeast Indiana Veterans recently traveled to the nation’s capital to visit one of the most iconic monuments in the country.

On Saturday, June 23, Max Socks, Elvin Newmann, Veda Vertz and Joe Vertz were wreath presenters at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

The monument is dedicated to U.S. service members who have died without their remains being identified.

The wreath presentation was just one of the many stops for the 50 southeastern Indiana Veterans who made the three-day bus trip to Washington, D.C. to see the monuments and memorials.
