(Harrison, Oh.) – A new place to connect, play and grow is opening this week in Harrison.

LifeSpring Community Christian Church will celebrate the Grand Opening of the Community Commons on Tuesday, September 1. Open houses and celebration events will continue through Sunday, September 6.

The facility, located at 9850 Carolina Trace in Harrison, will serve as a place of worship and a community center. It will feature the second location of the award-winning Coffee Peddlar, an 18’ tall, indoor playground, Lionheart Children’s Academy and LifeSpring Community Christian Church.

The Coffee Peddlar will include a large seating area with a game wall, making it a great place to hang with friends. Meanwhile, kids can play in the area’s only free, public indoor playground which is open during Coffee Peddlar hours: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. until January.

Lionheart Children’s Academy will official open at the Community Commons in January 2021. Lionheart is a top-notch preschool and non-profit Christian organization that provides quality, affordable care and education. For Lionheart, the Community Commons location will be their first outside of the state of Texas.

The Community Commons will also host LifeSpring Community Christian Church’s programs. LifeSpring is a non-denominational church that was launched in Harrison 12 years ago in the Harrison High School cafeteria. In 2011, LifeSpring moved into the historic roller rink on the corner of Broadway and Harrison. Now, they will have a space of their own to call home. Service times are Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Each service includes children’s programming.

Eagle Country 99.3 will help celebrate the Grand Opening of the Community Commons with a live broadcast from the Community Commons on Wednesday, September 2 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
