Lawrenceburg Trio Accused Of Trafficking Large Amounts Of Marijuana

One other suspect remains at-large.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Multiple arrests have been made in an interstate marijuana trafficking and distribution case.

Detectives with the Dearborn/Ohio County Special Crimes Unit seized approximately 50 pounds of high grade marijuana on July 1.

During the course of the investigation, which began in December, it was determined that the marijuana came from the State of Colorado.

However, it was a Lawrenceburg man, Larry W. Fagin, who was caught allegedly transporting the nearly 50 pounds of drugs to Indiana. He was stopped and taken into custody along Interstate 74 in Dearborn County on July 1.

After serving search warrants at two other locations, Jeffery S. Moore and Katie L. Lindeman, both of Lawrenceburg, were also arrested for their alleged involvement in the marijuana distribution ring.

Fagin, 43, and Moore, 38, are both charged with Dealing in Marijuana in an Amount of at Least Ten Pounds (Level 5 felony), Conspiracy to Commit Dealing in Marijuana in an Amount of at Least Ten Pounds (Level 5 felony), Corrupt Business Influence (Level 5 felony) and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 felony).

Lindeman, 36, is charged with Corrupt Business Influence (Level 5 felony) and Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 felony).

All three have received their initial hearings in Dearborn County court.

A fourth suspect, Joshua C. Fleek, 34, of Okeana, Ohio remains at-large. Fleek faces the same charges as Fagin and Moore.

“Of course, these individuals are innocent until proven guilty in Court,” said Lynn Deddens, Dearborn and Ohio County Prosecuting Attorney. “From evidence gathered in this case, it appears that this operation had been going on for quite some time. I want to thank the Special Crimes Unit along with the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police along with Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office RENU for the good police work that went into making these arrests.”
