Lawrenceburg Fiber Optics Project Moving Forward

"Actively and daily people are getting hooked up."

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg City Council is on their way to keeping promises made to the community.

On Monday, March 9, the council passed Ordinance 3-2020 which means the fiber optic project can officially move in the right direction.

Mayor Mollaun tells Eagle Country 99.3 that this project is already in the works to being completed.

"We now have everything in place to finish the fiber project. Actively and daily people are getting hooked up. We are committed to finishing this project," says Mayor Mollaun.

Hi Speed Fiber Internet pricing will remain the same starting at $19.99 per month. However, for this price you will now get 20 MB per second instead of the 10 MB in the original plan. Pricing will increase through tiers going up to $74.99 for 1 GB service.

The city says that through this service, substantial savings are to be had compared to other internet providers.

As this project continues to progress, Eagle Country 99.3 will keep the community informed on any updates.
