Lawmakers Eat, Talk 2012 Session Wednesday

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Southeast Indiana state lawmakers will give a review of the 2012 Indiana legislative session during a luncheon in Lawrenceburg Wednesday.

The Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual post-legislative lunch at Hollywood Casino’s Epic Buffet at 11:30 a.m.

State Representatives Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) and Jud McMillin (R-Brookville), as well as Senator Johnny Nugent (R-Lawrenceburg) will each speak about the session. Hot topics will be right to work legislation, a statewide public smoking ban, strengthening a law allowing Hoosiers to resist illegal police entries into their homes, and more.

Jewell DeBonis, a state lobbyist representing multiple southeast Indiana municipalities in Indianapolis, will also give her review.

The chamber said last week the luncheon has sold out. Eagle 99.3 will have the event covered.
