Korean War Vet Don Weber Will Be Reds Hometown Hero Tuesday

The Reds aren't in playoff contention, but this is a great reason to get to the ballpark on Tuesday.

(Cincinnati, Oh.) - The Cincinnati Reds won't be going to the postseason this year, but there will still be something to cheer about at the ballpark this week.

Don Weber, 90, of Lawrenceburg, will be honored as the Reds' Hometown Hero on Tuesday, September 24.   

Weber served in the U.S. Army from 1951-53 at Pusan, South Korea.

During his military career, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal and the United Nations Korean War Service Medal. 

Weber is also a longtime member of the Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 4 in Aurora. 

First pitch for Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers is set for 6:40 p.m.
