Former Harrison Elementary Teacher, WWII Veteran Passes Away at 97

(Harrison, Oh.) – The Harrison community is mourning the loss of Johnny Calihan.

The former Harrison Elementary School gym teacher and World War II veteran passed away on Wednesday at the age of 97.

Visitation will be held at Harrison Church of Nazarene on Tuesday, September 3 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services with military honors will be provided by the Harrison Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy at New Haven Cemetery at 12:15 p.m.

Memorials are requested to the Harrison Church of Nazarene in Johnny’s memory.
