JCEMA asks onlookers to avoid damaged areas

If you are not a resident or property owner, please avoid the areas that are damaged. Volunteer Disaster Relief groups are responding to assist with immediate needs. Once those groups arrive with their equipment, they may ask for additional volunteers to assist with their operations. We will make notification if they request local individual personnel with instructions on where to report.

Jefferson County is a very generous and tight-knit Community anxious to assist those in need. If you would like to donate.

Monetary Donations:

The Community Foundation will work with local government and nonprofit organizations to allocate grants from the Disaster Relief Fund to aid those in need and determine how much of its own financial resources will be directed to emergency relief.

Those interested may give online at www.cfmjc.org , make a check payable to CFMJC Disaster and send it to CFMJC, PO Box 306, Madison, Indiana, or drop by our office at 416 West Street in downtown Madison, Indiana, 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

Goods Donations: i.e. water, clothing

No Goods have been requested, if that changes, we will send out a notification with specific items needed and instructions on how to make those donations.
