ISP-Versailles K-9 Jinx Has Busy Day

Two traffic stops resulted in two out of state residents being arrested on drug charges.

(Seymour, Ind.) – Indiana State Police K-9 Jinx had a busy Tuesday.

Jinx and Master Trooper Randel Miller conducted two traffic stops on Interstate 65 in Jackson County that led to the discover of multiple types of illegal drugs, and the arrests of two out of state residents.

Tony Jackson, 63, of Michigan, was arrested during the first stop just before 11:00 a.m. after he was clocked traveling over 100 mph.

According to a news release, Jinx alerted to the odor of illegal drugs in the vehicle. Troopers allegedly located heroin, cocaine, marijuana and two firearms.

Jackson was taken into custody and taken to Jackson County Jail, where he is facing felony charges of Possession of Cocaine with a firearm and Possession of Narcotic Drug with a firearm. He is also facing multiple misdemeanor charges.

A second traffic stop was initiated around 2:30 p.m. Jinx once again alerted to illegal drugs coming from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, troopers allegedly located ecstasy, MDMA, LSD, psychedelic mushrooms, ketamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and over $600 in cash.

The driver, Nabeel Husari, 29, of Tennessee, was arrested on multiple felony charges and was transported to Jackson County Jail.
