Indiana's Unemployment Rate Holds Steady In July

The state's jobless rate remains lower than the national rate of 5.4 percent.

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana’s unemployment rate remains unchanged from June to July.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the state’s jobless rate was at 4.1 percent for July.

Indiana’s unemployment rate remains lower than the national rate of 5.4 percent.

The state’s total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3.35 million, and the state’s 63.2 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 61.7 percent.

Among neighboring states, Kentucky reported a jobless rate of 4.4 percent for July, followed by Ohio at 5.4 percent.
