Indiana Unemployment Steady In April

Dearborn County's April jobless rate was down more than a full percent since March.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Indiana’s unemployment rate held at 3.6 percent in April.

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development said Friday that the rate was unchanged from March to April. The 3.6 percent jobless rate matched the national rate.

Indiana’s labor force had a net increase of 1,350 workers over the previous month, bringing the state’s total labor force to 3.4 million.

Locally, April unemployment ranged from 2.9 percent in Ripley County to 3.2 percent in Ohio County.
