Indiana Unemployment Rate Rises in June

The state's unemployment rate remains lower than the national rate of 4.1%.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana’s unemployment rate increased in June.

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the state’s jobless rate stands at 3.8 percent, up from 3.7 percent in May.

By comparison, the national unemployment rate for June stands at 4.1 percent.

Indiana’s total labor force stands at 3,378,707 - an increase of 1,527 from the previous month. As of July 17, 2024, there were 96,433 open job postings throughout the state.
