Indiana Unemployment At 3.6% In November

Private sector employment has grown by more than 25,900 over the year.

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana’s jobless rate in November was 3.6 percent.

That’s up just a tick from 3.5 percent in October, but still below the national unemployment rate of 3.7 percent. The Hoosier state’s jobless rate is the lowest among any neighboring state.

Indiana added 2,200 people to its labor force in November, raising the total statewide labor force to about 3.4 million.

The state’s 65.1 percent labor force participation rate remains above the national rate of 62.9 percent.
