(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Indiana's unemployment rate saw a slight uptick in March.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says the state's jobless rate was at 3.6 last month, up a tenth of a point since February.
Despite rising slightly, Indiana's unemployment rate remains below the national rate of 3.8 percent.
Locally, unemployment rates ranged from 3.8 percent in Switzerland County to 4.3 percent in Franklin and Ohio counties.
Indiana’s labor force increased by nearly 68-hundred people to 3.41 million in March. Private sector employment in the Hoosier state reached a preliminary record high of 2.75 million.
