(Indianapolis, Ind.) - One Indiana lawmaker wants to make energy drinks for adults only.
State Senator Ron Alting (R-Lafayette) is pushing a plan at the statehouse to make it a crime for a store to sell an energy drink like a Monster or a Red Bull to anyone under 18-years-old.
Public health managers say there are fears the drinks do more harm than good to young people’s brains.
Alting’s Senate Bill 369 has been read once in the Senate Rules and Legislative Procedure Committee, but has not received a vote.
