Cloth masks, disposable masks and sanitizer will be distributed to 472 school districts and private schools at no cost.
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Indiana public and private schools are getting a boost to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 when the 2020-21 school year starts.
At Governor Eric Holcomb’s Wednesday news conference, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation announced they have acquired PPE for public and private schools that requested help through the Department of Education.
In total, 472 school districts and private schools are participating.
Each participating school will receive more than one reusable cloth face mask for each student, 500 adult disposable face masks, 100 two- or four-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer and 10 gallons of hand sanitizer.
The PPE will be donated to the participating schools at no-cost.
According to the Indiana State Teachers Association, a list of participating schools has not been made available at this time.
